Educational Opportunities

Our Pathways program is open to select Catholic Charities employees, regardless of whether the individual works directly with residents, or currently works in another department. The program includes:

  • Full financial assistance for those interested in pursuing a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) or Licensed Medication Nursing Assistant (LMNA) program including associated fees for testing and licensing requirements.
  • Full-tuition scholarship opportunities for those interested in pursuing either a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) degree. All costs associated with the program are covered, including testing, licensing fees, uniforms and textbooks.

While participating in these various development opportunities, you will also gain valuable hands-on experience, working with a supportive staff that is committed to providing rapid on-the-job learning and helping you also build invaluable skills outside the classroom.

The program is only available to part-time and full-time employees at Catholic Charities NH skilled nursing facilities. This includes Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester, St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester, St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dover, St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Laconia, St. Vincent Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berlin, and Warde Senior Living in Windham. To pursue LPN and RN degrees, employees must be employed by a Catholic Charities facility for more than six months before the start of the program.

In Their Voices

  • “I am a single mom and barely balance all of my responsibilities without being in school. For that reason, I spent about 10 years as an LNA and nine as an LPN before attempting to obtain my RN two years ago. I believe God moved me to apply for the scholarship opportunity offered to Catholic Charities LPNs who wanted to pursue their education to become RNs. I have been impressed these last two years at how my schedule at St. Francis has been adjusted many times to accommodate my busy schedule as a Mom, student and LPN. My little family is so thankful and forever blessed by this opportunity to grow.“

Angela Woodward, LPN with St. Francis
  • “Receiving the Project Advance RN Scholarship was such an amazing opportunity. It not only provided me with the financial means to pursue my degree, but it also gave me the motivation to stop waiting for the ‘perfect time’ and to go back to school now. It has truly been a blessing allowing me to pursue my dreams.”

    – Karen Garrett, LPN at Mt. Carmel
