9th Annual Mardi Gras Gala Raises Over $100,000

On Saturday, February 1st, almost 325 guests packed the Grappone Conference Center in Concord to celebrate New Hampshire Catholic Charities’ 9th Annual Mardi Gras Gala. At the end of the night, over $100,000 was raised to support NH residents facing a crisis and in need of critical services.

Surrounded by New Orleans-style decor and Mardi Gras games and fun, guests were treated to a delicious, 3-course dinner; live music, dancing, and silent & live auctions.

Rev. Agapit Jean from the Parish of the Assumption in Dover shared a greeting from Bishop Peter A. Libasci, and then joined everyone in Grace. One of the most anticipated activities of the night was the Live Auction featured exciting vacation packages to Napa (Wine Country), Chicago, New Orleans and Hawaii. For this year’s event, over 100 silent and live auction items were donated by local business owners, sponsors and community partners who value and support the work of NHCC’s programs.

“These funds will be used to support families in crisis and the wrap around services that help them through difficult times.” said Lisa Merrill-Burzak, VP of Development for NHCC. “We are so grateful to the many sponsors, volunteers and supporters who came together to make this event such an amazing success.”
