CCNH Welcomes Tom Mergenov
Thomas Mergenov joined Catholic Charities New Hampshire last month as a full-time Grant Writer.
Mergenov distinguished himself through his strong writing, editing and research skills during his prior year working for Catholic Charities NH as an AmeriCorps VISTA service member.
“Throughout his year of service as a VISTA (volunteer), Tom demonstrated his value to the organization and became a well-respected member of the Development Team,” his supervisor, Scott Fitzpatrick, said.
Mergenov’s duties include searching for and evaluating potential grants, writing grant applications, and maintaining records.
“Research and writing is what I like to do,” explained Mergenov, who joined the Catholic Charities staff on Nov. 21.
“I appreciate that my work supports programs serving people in need rather than a profit line,” added Mergenov, who received his master’s degree in cultural anthropology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
“I enjoy the positive working environment here and I’m proud to contribute in what small way I can,” he added.
A Michigan native, Mergenov lives on Manchester’s West Side with his wife.
