New Generation Names Brandy Rickaby Executive Director

New Generation, a program of Catholic Charities NH, has named Brandy Rickaby as its new Executive Director.
Rickaby will oversee operations, programming, and staff for New Generation, which provides a pathway out of homelessness for mothers and children in New Hampshire. The program provides safe shelter, transitional housing, and stabilization services for families facing homelessness due to a lack of affordable housing combined with individual challenges such as domestic violence, financial hardship, substance misuse, and mental health barriers.
Rickaby was most recently the Family Services Manager for New Generation, overseeing the program’s case management services for residents. This includes life-skills coaching, parenting counseling, and other supportive services that are key to nurturing family development, establishing financial literacy, and building long-term stability.
Her journey with New Generation is uniquely inspiring – having once been a resident, she joined the staff in 2019 and has since been a pivotal figure in transforming lives.
“This is a significant moment for New Generation, to have a leader who truly embodies the spirit and mission of the program,” said Tom Blonski, President and CEO of Catholic Charities NH. “She’s walked the same path as our families and is a role model for so many mothers who are now thriving because of her compassion and dedication. We are excited to see her lead New Generation in continuing to help our families transform their challenges into futures full of hope.”
“Being able to collaborate with a dedicated team and amazing community partners to create programs that truly meet our clients’ needs is what drives me,” said Rickaby. “Having been in their shoes allows me to bring empathy and understanding to this role, which helps inspire and empower our mothers to reach their full potential. Witnessing their transformation from struggle to stability is incredibly rewarding. Looking ahead, I am committed to expanding our impact, driven by our generous supporters, to ensure no family in our community has to face homelessness alone.”
Over the last year alone, New Generation provided more than 6,100 collective nights of shelter, positively impacting the lives of 64 mothers and 106 children, helping them acquire the necessary skills to regain stability, secure employment, and transition into permanent housing. With ongoing support, 88% of families receiving the program’s stabilization services have sustained their housing for over a year, significantly reducing the risk of recurring homelessness.
Rickaby steps into the role previously held by Elsy Cipriani, who was recently named the new Executive Director for the New Hampshire Food Bank.
