A Tax-Free Gift
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can give up to $100,000 from your IRA or other retirement accounts directly to charity without having to pay income taxes on the amount of your donation!
This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD. Qualified gifts are tax-free AND can count toward your required minimum distribution, resulting in a distinct tax advantage.
Contact your financial advisor to determine if this gift plan is right for you. We are also happy to help! Contact Karen Moynihan at kmoynihan@nh-cc.org or 603-663-0240 with any questions.
